CM Saini Unveils Rs 113.64 Crore Development Package for Gurugram Ahead of New Year
Chief Minister inaugurates six major projects; announces Rs 5 crore each for Gurugram, Sohna and Pataudi constituencies; calls city ‘engine of India’s economic growth’

GURUGRAM: Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Tuesday announced a slew of development initiatives for Gurugram, inaugurating and laying foundation stones for six projects worth Rs 113.64 crore, while declaring the millennium city as the “engine of India’s economic progress.”
Addressing the Viksit Gurugram Maharally organized to mark the birthday of Gurugram MLA Mukesh Sharma, CM Saini emphasized that Gurugram has become not just Haryana’s pride but a crucial driver of the nation’s economic growth under the “double-engine” government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the Centre and the BJP administration in the state.
Major Projects Inaugurated and Announced
The Chief Minister inaugurated projects worth Rs 72.96 crore, including a multi-level car parking facility in Sadar Bazaar costing Rs 55.20 crore and a community centre in Sector-14 worth Rs 17.76 crore. Foundation stones were laid for an RMC model road and drain in Sector-16 (Rs 8.32 crore), sewerage and drinking water pipeline in Sector-17A (Rs 6.28 crore), hostel construction in Sector-16 (Rs 6.67 crore), and special repair work in the new vegetable market (Rs 19.41 crore).
In a major announcement, CM Saini declared an additional Rs 5 crore each for the overall development of Gurugram, Sohna, and Pataudi Assembly constituencies, signaling the government’s commitment to balanced regional growth.
Ambitious Development Roadmap
Among the key announcements, the Chief Minister revealed plans for:
- A new school building at Gaushala ground near Gurugram Police Lines (Rs 4.90 crore)
- A modern sports hostel at Nehru Stadium replacing the existing facility
- 30 Ayushman Arogya Mandirs across Gurugram
- Upgradation of Wazirabad PHC to a 50-bed hospital
- Construction of Civil Hospital
- City bus terminal in Sector-29
- Development of Sadar Bazaar as a smart market
- Over 100 kilometers of smart roads
- Library in Biodiversity Park and entry gates honoring Guru Dronacharya and Mata Sheetla
Rs 1,909 Crore Invested in 11 Years
Highlighting the government’s track record, CM Saini stated that Rs 1,909 crore has been spent on development works in the Gurugram Assembly constituency over the past 11 years. Out of 67 announcements made during this period, 39 have been completed while work on 11 is in progress.
The Chief Minister also emphasized his government’s performance on election promises, stating that 54 out of 217 manifesto commitments have been fulfilled within just one year, with work underway on the remaining 163.
Focus on Inclusive Development
Reiterating the government’s commitment to leaving behind “regionalism and casteism,” CM Saini said the administration is working on the principle of “Haryana Ek, Haryanvi Ek” (One Haryana, One Haryanvi) and the mantra of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas aur Sabka Prayas” (Together with all, Development for all, Trust of all, and Efforts by all).
The Chief Minister also highlighted efforts toward environmental conservation, including the development of small oxygen pockets and parks, operation of electric buses, and modern waste management techniques to combat pollution.
Political Leaders Express Confidence
Industries and Commerce Minister Rao Narbir Singh praised the Chief Minister’s visionary leadership, stating that welfare-oriented policies are being rapidly implemented on the ground. Gurugram MLA Mukesh Sharma credited CM Saini’s leadership for steering Gurugram and Haryana toward self-reliance, noting that road construction work on revenue paths in a 900-meter area has already commenced.
The event was attended by Pataudi MLA Bimla Chaudhary, Sohna MLA Tejpal Tanwar, Bawal MLA Dr. Krishan Kumar, Gurugram Mayor Raj Rani Malhotra, and other senior officials.
With these announcements, the Haryana government has signaled its intent to transform Gurugram into one of India’s most developed and well-equipped cities while ensuring inclusive growth across urban and rural areas.
