Gurugram Man Tries to Complete “Feed a Cow” App Task with Chicken Momos – Chaos Ensues

In a spectacular display of “app task gone wrong,” a youth allegedly fed chicken momos to a cow to finish an online challenge. Hindu outfits caught him, gave him a free “community massage,” and police booked him for hurting religious sentiments.

Gurugram, Dec 10

In what can only be described as peak 2025 energy, a young man in Gurugram decided that the best way to complete an online app task titled “Feed a Cow” was to serve the holy animal a steaming plate of chicken momos.

Yes, chicken. As in, the exact opposite of vegetarian.

According to police and wildly viral videos, the youth (whose identity is being protected because even the internet feels a little bad for him) placed an order for chicken momos, walked up to a stray cow near Sector 56, and enthusiastically began the feeding session while recording it for proof-of-task.

Local Hindu organisations, who apparently have a faster response time than Swiggy, spotted the culinary blasphemy in progress. They promptly “detained” the young man, delivered what eyewitnesses called “vigorous ideological counselling with hands and slippers,” and handed him over to the police.

A case has been registered under Section 295A of the IPC (deliberate and malicious acts intended to outrage religious feelings) and relevant sections of the Haryana Gauvansh Sanrakshan Act. The cow, sources say, is doing fine but looked deeply confused.

Social media is having the time of its life.

One user wrote: “Bro completed the task but unlocked lifetime ban from paradise.

Another commented: “Task: Feed a cow ✅ Reward points: −10,000 karma”

Police officials confirmed that the youth claimed he “didn’t think it would be a big deal” and that the app only asked for a photo, not a menu check. The app in question has since removed the task and is reportedly considering renaming it “Feed a Cow (Vegetarian Items Only, Bro, Seriously).”

Meanwhile, momo vendors in Gurugram have started putting up boards: “Beef-free, chicken-free for cows, please don’t get us beaten up.”

Moral of the story: Some shortcuts in life come with a side of public thrashing. Stick to grass.
