Haryana Approves Major IAS Promotions Across Seven Batches
36 officers elevated to higher grades effective January 1, 2026, as Chief Secretary Anurag Rastogi issues promotion orders
Chandigarh, January 1, 2026 – The Haryana Government has sanctioned a comprehensive series of promotions for Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers spanning multiple batches, marking a significant administrative reshuffle as the new year begins. Chief Secretary Shyamal Misra oversaw the issuance of orders under the direction of the state government.
In the highest-level promotion, Sh. Shyamal Misra of the 1996 batch has been elevated to the Chief Secretary’s Grade (Level 17 in the Pay Matrix), recognizing nearly three decades of administrative service.
Four Officers Elevated to Higher Administrative Grade
The government promoted four officers from the 2001 batch to the Higher Administrative Grade (Level 15). Within the state cadre, Sh. Vijay Singh Dahiya and Smt. Amneet P. Kumar received direct promotions, while Sh. Vikas Gupta and Sh. Pankaj Yadav, currently serving on central deputation, were granted proforma promotions.
2010 Batch Receives Super Time Scale Promotions
Five officers from the 2010 batch advanced to the Super Time Scale (Level 14). The promotions include Sh. Prabhjot Singh, Sh. Rajnarayan Kaushik, Sh. Jitender Kumar, and Smt. Hema Sharma. Dr. Garima Mittal of the same batch received a proforma promotion.
Selection Grade for 2013 Batch
Eight officers from the 2013 batch were granted the Selection Grade at Level 13. The promoted officers are Sh. Parth Gupta, Sh. Ajay Kumar, Sh. Pradeep Dahiya, Smt. Sangeeta Tetarwal, Smt. Mandeep Kaur, Smt. Pratima Chaudhary, and Sh. Virender Kumar Dahiya. Sh. Nishant Kumar Yadav, on deputation with the Chandigarh Administration, also received a proforma promotion.
Junior and Senior Grade Promotions
The 2017 batch saw nine officers elevated to the Junior Administrative Grade (Level 12), including Sh. Vishram Kumar Meena, Sh. Swapnil Ravindra Patil, Sh. Sahil Gupta, Dr. Vaishali Sharma, Sh. Mahabir Prasad, Sh. Mahender Pal, Sh. Satpal Sharma, Sh. Amar Deep Singh, and Sh. Sushil Kumar.
Seven officers from the 2022 batch received promotions to the Senior Time Scale (Level 11). The promoted officers are Sh. Ankit Kumar Chouksey, Smt. Anjali Shrotriya, Sh. Arpit Sangal, Ms. Jyoti, Dr. Rahul, Sh. Shashvat Sangwan, and Sh. Utsav Anand.
These promotions reflect the government’s commitment to recognizing administrative excellence and ensuring efficient governance across the state. The elevated officers are expected to take charge of their new responsibilities immediately, bringing their experience to bear on key administrative functions in Haryana.
