Haryana DGP Ajay Singhal Offers Special Havan at Mata Mansa Devi Temple, Prays for State’s Peace and Security
Accompanied by his wife, the state’s top police officer seeks divine blessings for law and order, social harmony, and the morale of Haryana Police personnel
Haryana Director General of Police (DGP) Ajay Singhal, accompanied by his wife Seema Singhal, visited the renowned Mata Mansa Devi Temple in Panchkula on Sunday, where the couple performed a special havan and offered prayers for the peace, safety, and prosperity of the state.
Upon their arrival, the temple administration accorded the DGP and his wife a traditional welcome. A formal havan was then conducted with full religious observance, with the couple offering oblations to the sacred fire amid chanting of Vedic hymns that filled the temple precincts with a deeply devotional atmosphere.
Following the havan, DGP Singhal offered special prayers at the shrine of Mata Mansa Devi, seeking strength and divine guidance for maintaining peace, social harmony, and the safety of citizens across Haryana.
Speaking on the occasion, the DGP described the visit as a matter of great fortune. He said he had prayed specifically for the well-being, health, and security of the people of Haryana, and also for the strengthening of the dedication, morale, and spirit of service among the personnel of Haryana Police.
Reflecting on the significance of the visit, Singhal observed that policing goes beyond merely maintaining law and order — it also involves building a sense of trust and security within society. Spiritual energy, he said, plays an important role in sustaining that mission.
Special security arrangements were put in place during the DGP’s visit to ensure that regular devotees experienced no inconvenience and that the flow of worship at the temple continued without disruption.
