Iran Vows to Hunt Down Netanyahu as US-Israel Strikes Pound Isfahan and UAE Base

On the 16th day of the US-Israel war with Iran, the Revolutionary Guards threaten to assassinate Netanyahu amid deepening strikes, mass casualties, and a regional disinformation storm.

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) issued a stark assassination threat against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Sunday, as the conflict entered its 16th day with no ceasefire in sight.

The IRGC declared it would pursue and kill “the murderer of children” if he was still alive — a statement that followed viral claims, later denied by Netanyahu’s office, that a recent video address showed signs of AI manipulation or that he had fled to Germany.

Iran’s new Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei was confirmed “fully healthy” by Tehran after British outlet The Sun, and echoed by US President Donald Trump, claimed he had been gravely wounded on 28 February, fallen into a coma, and undergone an amputation. Iranian foreign ministry spokesperson Araghchi rejected all such reports as baseless.

In Isfahan, Iran’s key industrial and military hub, air strikes killed at least 15 people on Sunday morning, with thick plumes of black smoke visible across the city. Officials say over 200 Iranian cities have been targeted since hostilities began, with 153 health facilities damaged nationwide — the heaviest toll falling on Kermanshah Medical University with 42 units destroyed.

The IRGC claimed a major strike on the Al-Dhafra airbase in the UAE, a critical American military installation, deploying 10 missiles and multiple drones targeting air defence infrastructure. Saudi Arabia intercepted and destroyed four drones approaching Riyadh.

Israel’s health ministry reported 108 people hospitalised in the past 24 hours, bringing the total since 28 February to 3,195 — 81 of whom remain under active treatment.

Globally, countries are resisting US pressure. Trump urged China, France, Japan, South Korea, and the UK to send warships to protect oil tankers through the Strait of Hormuz. France flatly refused. Japan said it would not act on Trump’s request alone. South Korea said it would “carefully review” the proposal. China called for an end to hostilities.

UAE authorities arrested 10 people for spreading AI-generated disinformation about the war on social media, including fabricated videos of explosions and attacks on UAE landmarks.
