IT’S OFFICIAL — VIROSH IS MARRIED! VIJAY DEVERAKONDA AND RASHMIKA MANDANNA TIE THE KNOT IN A DREAMY UDAIPUR CEREMONY
After eight years of rumours, stolen glances, and a nation holding its breath, Bollywood and South cinema’s most beloved couple exchange vows at the luxurious Mementos by ITC Hotels, Ekaaya — blending Telugu and Kodava traditions in an intimate Aravalli fairytale
UDAIPUR, February 26, 2026 — The City of Lakes just became the city of love. Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda are now officially married, having tied the knot in a traditional Andhra-Telugu ceremony at 8 AM on Thursday, February 26, 2026, at Mementos by ITC Hotels, Ekaaya, Udaipur.
The ceremony, which the couple themselves dubbed “The Wedding of VIROSH,” marks the end of nearly eight years of public speculation about their relationship status — a journey that began on the sets of the 2018 blockbuster Geetha Govindam and captured the imagination of millions across India.
Rashmika looked radiant in a Kanjeevaram silk saree, adorned with precious jewellery gifted to her by Vijay’s mother, Madhavi Deverakonda, as Vedic hymns filled the air and the fragrance of marigolds and jasmine set the mood for a deeply soulful ceremony. The morning Telugu ceremony was set to be followed by a Kodava wedding in the evening, honouring Rashmika’s Coorgi roots and making the day a true cultural celebration.
The celebrations unfolded at the ultra-luxurious Mementos by ITC Hotels, Ekaaya Udaipur — a boutique hideaway nestled amid the Aravalli hills, surrounded by lush greenery and overlooking pristine lakes, offering the privacy and opulence befitting one of India’s biggest celebrity weddings.
The entire property was reportedly reserved exclusively for the couple’s intimate guest list of around 100 close family members and friends, with guests treated to a traditional South Indian feast served on banana leaves, featuring dishes from Telangana, Andhra, and Karnataka.
The pre-wedding festivities were equally spectacular. Celebrations kicked off with a formal Japanese dinner, followed by the ‘Virosh Premiere League’ on February 25, with a sangeet ceremony on February 24 and a Haldi function — decorated with rose petals and soft wooden panelling — attended by close friends and family. Vijay’s mother gifted Rashmika with traditional heirloom bangles during the sangeet, symbolising acceptance, love, and family legacy.
The wedding drew well-wishes from the very top. Prime Minister Narendra Modi sent a heartfelt congratulatory letter to the Deverakonda and Mandanna families, writing that “this divinely scripted chapter of their real lives, filled with love and affection, will surely outshine the magic they have created on the silver screen.”
A star-studded wedding reception for their industry friends is planned for March 4 in Hyderabad, promising yet another unforgettable chapter in the VIROSH love story.
India, it’s safe to say, just found its favourite real-life couple. 💍
