Medhavi Skills University Partners with NephroPlus to Launch Industry-Integrated Dialysis Education Programs
Strategic collaboration brings work-integrated learning model to healthcare sector, offering students pathway to earn while they learn in India’s expanding kidney care industry
SIKKIM – Medhavi Skills University (MSU) has formalized a strategic partnership with NephroPlus, India’s largest dialysis network, to deliver specialized education programs in dialysis technology that combine academic learning with hands-on industry training.
The collaboration, sealed through a Memorandum of Understanding signed on January 15, will introduce UG Diploma in Dialysis Technology and B.Voc in Dialysis Technology programs aligned with national education frameworks including NSQF, NHEQF, and NEP 2020.
Students enrolled in these programs will receive on-the-job training at NephroPlus centers across India through the company’s learning brand “Enpedia powered by NephroPlus.” The partnership includes provisions for student stipends and priority recruitment opportunities for top performers, directly addressing India’s growing demand for skilled dialysis professionals.
“This partnership is a key step in building skilled dialysis professionals as the kidney care ecosystem scales across India and global markets,” said Kamal D. Shah, Co-Founder of NephroPlus, which operates over 500 dialysis centers across India, Nepal, the Philippines, Uzbekistan, and Saudi Arabia.
The initiative reflects NEP 2020’s vision of integrating vocational skills with formal higher education. Students will access MSU’s digital learning infrastructure while gaining practical experience in real-world clinical settings, creating what founders describe as a “future-ready healthcare workforce.”
Pravesh Dudani, Founder and Chancellor of MSU, emphasized the university’s commitment to “industry-integrated, work-based education” that enables learners to earn while developing career-ready competencies in the expanding healthcare sector.
