Rao Inderjit Singh Dismisses Retirement Rumours from Politics
In Narnaul, he says: If PM Modi hasn’t retired, why should I? Age catches up with everyone
Narnaul (Mahendragarh): Union Minister and Gurgaon MP Rao Inderjit Singh has outright rejected all speculations about retiring from politics. Speaking at an event in Narnaul, he clearly stated that as long as Prime Minister Narendra Modi is serving the nation with such energy, there is no reason for him to step away from politics. “Age is a reality for everyone, but one should not shy away from service and responsibility,” he added.
Rao Inderjit Singh is regarded as a veteran leader of the Ahirwal region in southern Haryana. In recent months, rumors of his retirement had gained traction, especially due to his advancing age (he will turn 75 soon) and the increasing political activities of his daughter, Aarti Rao. However, Rao Sahab dismissed these talks as mere rumors, affirming that he remains fully active and committed to serving the party and the region.
The statement has stirred fresh political buzz in the Ahirwal belt, where Rao Inderjit enjoys strong influence. For the BJP, this declaration holds significance, as several seats in southern Haryana have historically depended on his leadership.
