The Akhil Bharatiya Pratinidhi Sabha gathers in Samalkha from March 13 to chart the Sangh’s course for the year ahead, with Mohan Bhagwat and leaders of 32 affiliated organisations in attendance

The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh’s supreme governing body, the Akhil Bharatiya Pratinidhi Sabha (ABPS), is set to convene a three-day session in Samalkha, Haryana, beginning March 13 — a gathering that carries particular weight as the organisation marks its centenary year.

RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat will be joined by top Sangh leaders, BJP president Nitin Nabin, and the presidents and senior functionaries of its 32 sister organisations at the meeting. A total of 1,487 karyakartas will participate, including elected representatives and key office-bearers from across the country.

The agenda is wide-ranging. The meeting will review the activities of the Sangh during 2025–26 and present reports on significant initiatives carried out across various regions, according to RSS Akhil Bharatiya Prachar Pramukh Sunil Ambekar, who addressed a press conference in Samalkha on Wednesday.

Central to the proceedings will be a review of centenary celebrations. These include the Grihasampark mass contact programme, Hindu Sammelans, youth conferences, gatherings of prominent citizens, and social harmony meetings. The RSS has reached out to more than 10 crore homes under its Grihasampark initiative.

Organisational growth will also feature prominently. The Sangh’s work expanded over the past year with the addition of approximately 6,000 new shakhas. The momentum in membership is equally notable — in January 2025, 16,192 people expressed a desire to join the RSS, while in January–February the figure rose to 26,445.

Looking ahead, deliberations will be held on plans for Sangh Shiksha Vargs, Karyakarta Vikas Vargs, and other training programmes, and the Sangh’s action plan for the forthcoming year will be finalised.

The meeting will also take note of a significant religious milestone. With Guru Ravidas’ 650th birth anniversary approaching, between February 2026 and February 2027, Sangh volunteers will organise programmes at various locations across the country focusing on his life, deeds, and message.
