Six Gurugram Schools Receive Bomb Threats via Email; Massive Search Operation Underway
Students evacuated as police teams with sniffer dogs and bomb squads sweep DLF Phase-1, Sector-53, and Sector-64 school campuses following threats received at 7:10 am
GURUGRAM – At least six private schools in Gurugram received bomb threats through emails on Wednesday morning, sparking panic among parents and triggering a massive security operation across the city.
The schools that received the threats include Kunskapalan School in DLF Phase 1, Lancers School in Sector 53, Heritage Experiential Learning School in Sector 64, Shiv Nadar School in DLF Phase 1, Shri Ram Aravali School and Pathways World School near Badshahpur.
According to school authorities, the threat emails were received around 7:10 am, following which the police control room was informed. The timing proved critical, as schools became aware of the threat just as buses began arriving with students.
Swift Evacuation
Parents were immediately advised not to send their children to school, while those who had already arrived were sent back home. School managements sent urgent messages to parents, urging them to keep their children at home as authorities launched comprehensive security protocols.
Police teams reached the schools promptly and activated security protocols. SDRF teams were also called in to assist with the search and investigation. Police teams and bomb squads are on the campuses along with sniffer dogs.
No Suspicious Objects Found
A senior police officer said that no suspicious objects had been found so far, but the police and district administration were closely monitoring the situation. Search operations continue at all six affected institutions as investigators work to trace the source of the threat emails.
This incident comes barely a month after a similar scare in December 2024, when a 12-year-old student was found responsible for sending a bomb threat to a Gurugram school in an attempt to shift classes to online mode.
The incident has raised fresh concerns about school security in the National Capital Region, with authorities emphasizing the need for robust cybersecurity measures and emergency response protocols.
Police have launched an investigation to identify the sender of the threatening emails and determine whether the threats are connected or part of a coordinated campaign. Parents and guardians are advised to stay in touch with their respective school administrations for updates on when normal operations will resume.
