PATNA: Bihar’s first-phase polling on 121 seats delivered a thumping 65% turnout — the highest in a decade — even as Lakhisarai witnessed stone-pelting on Dy CM Vijay Sinha’s cavalcade and a roadside slanging match that ended with an RJD MLC blowing zero on the breathalyser.

The Lakhisarai Flashpoint

RJD MLC Ajay Singh and Sinha traded barbs over “who blocked whose convoy”. Sinha alleged “sharab pee ke halla”; patrolling cops promptly whisked Singh to the nearest check-post. Result: Alcohol test NEGATIVE.

“Vijay babu ko haar ka dar sataya hai,” Singh later told reporters, flashing the medical chit.

Modi Double-Header Today

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will fire the second-phase salvo with back-to-back rallies in Aurangabad (11:30 am) and Kaimur (2:45 pm). His punchline from the stump: “Bihar ko katta sarkar nahi, vikas sarkar chahiye.”

Rahul’s Cricket Jibe

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, landing in Bhagalpur and Banka’s Amarpur at 1:05 pm, trained guns on Jay Shah: “Amit Shah ka beta ball pakadna bhi nahi jaanta, aur cricket chala raha hai. Yeh hai BJP ka nyay!” The crowd roared; BJP promptly tweeted a 2019 clip of Rahul playing gully cricket.

NDA’s Victory Lap

Dy CM Samrat Choudhary declared at a late-night presser: “130 mein 100 pakki. Lalu family ka sweep repeat—zero seats.”

RJD countered with silent confidence: Tejashwi Yadav will storm Purnea, Araria and Banka today.

PK’s Third Pole

Prashant Kishor, addressing a Bodh Gaya crowd, claimed: “60% Bihar wants parivartan. Jan Suraj is that option.”

Phase-2 Countdown

71 seats go to poll on 11 Nov. Campaign silence descends tomorrow 6 pm.

Star speakers left: Amit Shah (Jamui, Bhagalpur, Purnea) and Tejashwi (four rallies in Seemanchal).

Exit Poll Blackout

EC ban on exit polls stays till 18 Nov, 6:30 pm. Till then, only the Bihar wind — and the EVM beep — will talk.
