Aamir Khan Ties the Knot for the Third Time, Marries Gauri Spratt in Intimate Mumbai Ceremony
Bollywood’s ‘Mr Perfectionist’ begins a new chapter at 61 as family and close friends witness registered marriage at his Bandra residence

Bollywood actor Aamir Khan has married his girlfriend Gauri Spratt, marking his third marriage after two previous relationships that ended in divorce. The couple signed their marriage papers on Sunday afternoon at around 12:45 PM at Aamir’s residence in Pali Hill, Bandra, in a registered ceremony attended by family members and a select group of close friends.

The signing was witnessed by Gauri’s son from her first marriage as well as Aamir’s son Azad, born from his second marriage. Following the formalities, Aamir was seen dancing with his new wife Gauri.
Several prominent names from the industry and beyond attended the celebration. Reliance Industries chairman Mukesh Ambani was present at the ceremony, along with filmmaker Ashutosh Gowariker, who directed Aamir in “Lagaan.” Aamir’s elder son Junaid Khan and daughter Ira Khan also attended their father’s wedding, along with other close associates of the actor.
Gauri, who is divorced, has a son from her earlier marriage.
A LOOK BACK AT AAMIR’S PAST RELATIONSHIPS
Despite both of his previous marriages ending in separation, Aamir has often spoken of them as significant chapters of his life.
Aamir’s first marriage was to Reena Dutta, whom he fell in love with as a 20-year-old after noticing her from his apartment window facing hers in Bombay. The two built a relationship in secret, communicating through letters and stolen conversations, largely due to opposition from Reena’s family. They eventually married in a court ceremony on April 18, 1986, once Aamir turned the legally required age of 21. The marriage produced two children, Ira and Junaid, but ended after 15 years.
Aamir later married Kiran Rao, who had worked as an assistant director on one of his films. Their relationship began without conventional courtship and led to a quick marriage. The couple had a son, Azad, before separating in 2021, citing the need to prioritise their individual lives while maintaining their friendship. Aamir Khan’s marriage to Gauri Spratt now marks a new personal milestone for the actor as he steps into this chapter of his life at the age of 61.
